With the conversation flowing, Riaan finally asked Mandy for her number. Not in the habit of giving her number to strangers, she politely declined and playing down his disappointment, he instead coolly offered her his number. Over the next few weeks, phonecalls were exchanged until they met again and ended their meeting with their very first goodnight kiss. High on love and floating back to his car, Riaan remembered that the doors of his car were not working and the only way to get into his car after it was locked, was to enter through the boot. Bidding Mandy farewell, Riaan casually climbed into his boot, crawled onto the back seat and into the drivers’ seat before taking off into the night.
The surprise proposal amidst treetops and waterfalls was all that Mandy had ever dreamed about – to finally be found by the love that she had always been longing for!
